Ruffino

An authentic piece of Italy’s winemaking history, Ruffino is an important Tuscan winery founded in Pontassieve, near Florence, in 1877 by the cousins ​​Ilario and Leopoldo Ruffino. Over a period of nearly 140 years, Ruffino has always been protagonist of the winemaking landscape, aiming at continuous renewal without losing sight of tradition and setting itself the goal of product quality and the expression of its home territory, the Chianti. Consisting of a productive heart in Pontassieve and various estates in Tuscany situated in the center of the main denominations of origin such as Chianti, Chianti Classico and Brunello di Montalcino, Ruffino counts among its wines both prestigious labels that have made the history of Italian winemaking, such as the Riserva Ducale, the Chianti and the Rosatello, as well as the excellence that represents the maximum expression of the terroir of Tuscany, such as the Riserva Ducale Oro or the Brunello di Montalcino Greppone Mazzi. Ruffino manages to combine tradition with dynamic innovation, having created two great SuperTuscan wines: the Modus and the newest addition Alauda, ​​both produced in Poggio Casciano. Love for the land and history, together with a gaze always directed to the future, make Ruffino wines some of the world’s best wine excellences which are appreciated and enjoyed in numerous countries.

Poggio Casciano is the Ruffino estate dedicated to hospitality where you can explore the charming barriques tunnel, discover the secrets of the Sangiovese grape and Ruffino wines accompanied by expert tasters who will make every single olfactory, visual and tasting experience unique in the beautiful surroundings of the Estate.

The elegant Renaissance villa, the garden overlooking the vineyards and the beautiful cellar, cradling prestigious wines, welcome guests on an exciting path that winds from the vineyard right up to the wine glass.
