The Malenchini family has called Villa Medicea di Lilliano home since 1836, and about 100 years ago added wine production to the Estate. Still home to family members, the former Medici Villa is a reimagined Estate that welcomes guests year-round to enjoy the delights of Tuscany.
Vineyards and olive groves
Nestled into the Chianti Colli Fiorentini hills circling Florence where wine has been produced for centuries, Villa Medicea di Lilliano has a proud history of more than a century of wine production.
Our Malenchini label has earned the reputation for the production of Chianti DOCG, Chianti Colli Fiorentini DOCG, VinSanto, and the Super Tuscan IGT Bruzzico.
More than 12,000 olive trees of four different varieties combine to create our multi award-winning Extra Virgin Olive Oil. During the harvest, you can watch or join us in picking grapes and olives.
Accommodation – La Torre and La Corte

Open year-round, the self-catering Residences of the Estate offer elegant Tuscan comfort. Recently renovated with great care, we used the latest technologies to respect the Estate’s ancient history. The furnishings and temperature control systems wrap each villa in modern Tuscan comfort.
Only a short stroll away from the Villa Medicea, through the olive trees, La Torre takes its name from one of its former uses – a sighting tower over Florence. Later a convent, it now offers five independent residences around a shared courtyard with views towards Florence. With different configurations, the five Villas enjoy a private pool and shared courtyard with a view towards Florence. Together, La Torre can accommodate up to 22 people, and the Villas can be booked singly or in different combinations.
Built beside the ancient Medici Villa, La Corte offers a place to relax and enjoy the comforts of our modern Tuscan life. The five private suites share the large open kitchen, living room area, private courtyard and pool. The suites can accommodate up to 12 people, and can be booked together or separately.
All accommodation boasts comfortable beds, premium linens, flat screen TVs and laptop-size safes.
With Wi-Fi Internet access, satellite TV, a fully equipped laundry and housekeeping once a week, your Tuscan adventure will be realized in style.
As well as wine and olive oil production, the Estate offers zero kilometer fresh produce for sale. A box can be delivered to your Villa before you arrive, to help you savour the fresh flavours of Tuscany.

From the historic Granaio Banquet Room to the renovated Limonaia Banquet Hall, our event venues offer the range of style and size to meet your needs with elegance and panache. Our striking banquet rooms, Medici chapel, spectacular terrace with a breath-taking view, courtyard and gardens are our starting point – we look forward to discussing ideas and working with your event planners and caterers to deliver your dream event.
Whether you want an intimate anniversary celebration with family and friends, a romantic wedding for 200, a product launch, or cocktail garden party for 600, Villa Medicea di Lilliano will help you create your magical memories.
